About Us
The name Forever Amy honors our Amy. She was a dedicated mother who loved her children fiercely and worked hard to provide for them. She was a daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a kind friend. She had a smile and energy as bright as the sun. She was many wonderful things and she was also a victim of domestic violence.
You may be like Amy or know someone like her - someone in an unhealthy and abusive relationship struggling to leave for any number of reasons that others may not understand.
But we do. We understand that leaving is complicated and we are here to help. Forever Amy’s mission is to help protect and empower survivors of domestic violence and abuse, to create greater awareness, and to encourage collective action from our entire community to end violence and abuse.
Let us help. If you’re a resident of northeast Iowa or southwest Wisconsin and in need of assistance, please call or submit an inquiry through the website.
Mountains are often likened to roadblocks and symbolize the peaks and valleys of life’s journey. The mountains that represent Forever Amy are made from the names of her family members that were left behind to overcome the challenges of her devastating loss.
These mountains symbolize the strong foundation of community and support that can be built to overcome life’s challenges. They symbolize our intent to support the ups and downs that survivors of domestic violence face. We’re here to support you in reaching those peaks. Let us help you move mountains.
